Honda has unveiled the CL300 motorcycle in China with two different styles - Standard and Premium. The Honda CL300 which is a younger sibling to the CL500 is inspired by Honda's CL motorbikes from the 60s and 70s. As per the company, the motive of Honda was to create a lightweight motorbike with off-road dynamics. The CL300's chassis is based on the Rebel 300 but with a different taller subframe to accomodate the CL300's single-piece flat seat. The Premium variant  gets a higher beak-like front fender, colour-matched knuckle guards, a bikini fairing and a tan leather seat, while the standard variant features a more city-focused asthetics. The CL300 is powered by a 286cc liquid-cooled engine to churn out 25.7 hp and a top speed of 125 km/h. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The CL300 rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with dual-purpose tires like the CL500. Its saddle height stands at 790mm while the ground clearance is 165mm. Braking duties are handles by single disc brake at either end with dual-channel ABS. Similarly, suspension duties onboard the CL300 are performed by telescopic forks at front and a monoshock unit at rear.As of now, the CL300 isn’t sold in major international markets such as Europe or the Americas. However, Honda has also trademarked the CL300 name in other countries, including Thailand. If launched in India, it could be a rival to the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Yezdi Scrambler.
